OWH Memorial Day 2014 Bloghop



In celebration of National Military Appreciation Month, Operation Write Home is hosting its annual Memorial Day Bloghop!

And here is my card:

Paper is Vintage Summer from Little Yellow Bicycle
Sentiment and image is Honor by Paper Smooches
Ink is Hero Arts Cup O' Joe and Butter Bar and VersaColor Scarlet
Embellishments are American Crafts cork star stickers

My card was based on OWH Sketch #178.

    I love your cards, especially how you suggest the American flag by using the red star paper and blue stripes. I've seen those stamps used before and am always amazed at how each person uses them in a different way so they never get old!

    I love the papers you used. I never thought of stamping the bird in brown instead of black. Great idea.

      Thanks! I'm kinda picky about my birds, they have to look like the real thing...and Eagles actually have a dark brown/black color to their feathers and that's what I was trying to mock.

    Hi Jessie: How fun that we both picked the same collection of papers to use, yet our cards are so different. Your eagle is the perfect focal point for the vintage RW&B papers. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with the rest of the papers, too. :)
