OCC Rainbow Maker Day 3

For Day 3's cards, I cut strips of paper of various shades and shapes to create the background.  I used a My Favorite Things Chevron background die to cut some black cardstock and the rainbow background I created.  I switched the background and pieces to create 2 cards.  I cut the sentiment from Honey Bee's "Happy" die and heat embossed the birthday sentiment from Winnie and Walter The Big the Bold the Happy set.

OCC Rainbow Maker Day 1

I followed Kristina's "Edge Blending with a stencil" tutorial to create my card.  I used Bristol cardstock, Clarity Stencil Brushes, a Hero Arts stencil (cannot remember the name), and created the rainbow using Distress Ink in Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet.  I cut the vellum accent from a Simon Says Stamp die and the Hello sentiment was die cut from a My Favorite Things die.  Wink of Stella over the "hello" to add some sparkle.

OCC Clear & Sheer Day 1

Online Card Classes: Clear and Sheer Day 1

I went with simple elegance for my first card for this class.  I heat embossed a Simon Says Stamp background with WOW Metallic Silver embossing powder. I die cut a "thanks" sentiment from DCWV metallic cardstock.  I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere the sentiment to vellum that was trimmed slightly smaller than the background panel and to adhere the vellum to the background.

Paper: Simon Says Stamp, Paper Trey Ink Vellum, DCWV Metallic
Sentiment; Paper Smooches "thanks"
Stamp: SSS Leaves Background

OCC Stenciled Day 1

I decided to take the new Online Card Class: Stenciled.  The first day of class gave so many great ideas and tutorials.  The first I used the misting technique shown by Julie Ebersole, which is one I've never used before.  First, I had to create a mist since I did not have one.  A while back I got some Ranger Misters and used some Distress Ink reinkers to make my mist. I attached my stencil to the cardstock, placed in a cardboard box and sprayed over the stencil.  I think I was a little to heavy on the misting, but I'm happy with the results.

I heat embossed the feather and sentiment (hard to see in the pic) with WOW Metallic Silver embossing powder.
The feather stamp and "Just a note" sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's Fanciful Feathers.

Thanks for stopping by!
